Cornell Tech is forging a new intersection between higher education and the public and private sector to reinvent the technologies at the core of how we live, work, and play. Company Challenges are a part of the entrepreneurial fabric of Cornell Tech and are an integral part of the education of learning by building.
Every fall semester in Product Studio at Cornell Tech, students respond to challenges posed by leading startups, companies, and organizations in NYC, and deliver new business ideas and prototypes by the end of the semester.
Students engage with external organizations and practitioners and work together in cross-campus teams. The teams build real prototypes and technology, develop business plans to tackle the challenge and demonstrate their work to the organization at the end of the semester.
Company Challenges go beyond a problem to solve or work to be done—they require a thought provoking idea or challenge posed by the company that gives students the freedom to explore different paths toward breakthrough ideas and prototypes.
