Diana Allegretti is the director of design and construction at Cornell Tech. She joined Cornell Tech in 2013 and led the development of nearly 1 million square feet of new, state‑of‑the‑art buildings focused on graduate‑level digital education and research. The 12‑acre Roosevelt Island campus incorporates large‑scale green infrastructure and technologies, including photovoltaics, geothermal systems, and Passive House design.

Before joining Cornell Tech, she served as a senior project manager and capital project advisor at Jonathan Rose Companies, where she developed the NYU‑Poly Capital Transformation Plan, which supported the Polytechnic Institute’s transition into the New York University system.

Prior to her work at Jonathan Rose Companies, Allegretti was the associate director of capital renewal for Columbia University’s Planning, Design, and Construction Department, where she oversaw and developed multiple five‑year capital construction plans for the university’s four campuses. She was also involved in the early planning phases of Columbia’s Manhattanville Campus Expansion.

Allegretti is a registered architect and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. She earned a master of science in real estate development from Columbia University and a bachelor of architecture from the New York Institute of Technology.

She has served as an appointed member of the planning board in her hometown in Westchester County, New York, and is a past co‑chair of the New York Building Congress subcommittee for education, arts, and culture.
