Fighting Online Abuse in the Age of AI
Join us on the evening of September 24, 2024, for a Compiler Pop-Up Series event at Cornell Tech’s Roosevelt Island campus in New York City featuring Julie Inman Grant, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner, as we celebrate the launch of the university’s Security, Trust, and Safety Initiative.
This intimate and interactive gathering will explore solutions to one of the most pressing issues shaping the future of trust, media, and democracy. The event coincides with the United Nations’ 79th General Assembly, where global leaders will also be discussing international approaches to regulating artificial intelligence.
You’ll also hear from Alexios Mantzarlis, the inaugural director of the Security, Trust, and Safety Initiative at Cornell Tech. He will share insights on the initiative’s mission to drive teaching, research, engagement, and entrepreneurial activities addressing the critical challenges posed by unsafe digital technologies worldwide.
