The Johnson Cornell Tech MBA Future Tech Leaders Program is a deferred admissions program that grants exceptional and ambitious seniors or graduate students the opportunity to secure a spot in the innovative one-year Johnson Cornell Tech (JCT) MBA program within three to five years post-graduation. This unique pathway allows students to obtain valuable industry experience, ensuring they are well-prepared and poised for success upon entering the JCT MBA program.

Deferred MBA program overview

Candidates are required to have a minimum of three years and a maximum of five years of professional work experience prior to enrolling in the program. This range ensures that students have accumulated sufficient practical knowledge and skills, while still being early enough in their careers to fully benefit from the program’s advanced curriculum and professional development opportunities.

Who should apply?

Ideal candidates for the Future Tech Leaders Program are in their senior year of an undergraduate program or currently enrolled in a graduate program immediately after completing their undergraduate studies. Applicants from all academic and professional backgrounds are welcome to apply. Technical undergraduate and/or pre-MBA master’s coursework is not required but can be beneficial. Applicants should have post-graduate professional goals aligned with careers in technology leadership.
