Raaz Dwivedi is an assistant professor of operations research and information engineering at Cornell Tech and Cornell Engineering. He is a field member of Computer Science, Statistics, and the Center for Applied Mathematics.

Dwivedi is also a co-founder of Traversal, a startup building an AI Site Reliability Engineer – an ambient agent that automates root cause identification and remediation for complex production and software outages.

Dwivedi’s research follows a multi-disciplinary approach to data science spanning across fields of causal inference, reinforcement learning, and LLMs, with a focus on building AI agents for sequential decision-making.

Dwivedi was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard and MIT, and he was a researcher at MSR and WorldQuant. He is a recipient of the Blackwell-Rosenbluth Award, a best student paper award, teaching awards at UC Berkeley and Harvard, the Berkeley Fellowship, and the President of India Gold Medal at IIT Bombay.
