Greg Pass is a founding fellow at Cornell Tech and the founder of Backslash, Cornell’s initiative for art that escapes convention. He is also an associate faculty member at the Carl Sagan Institute at Cornell, where he works on the Altamira Comet.

Greg helped start up Cornell Tech as its founding chief entrepreneurial officer. He was also a professor of practice at Cornell Tech and the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, and taught in the Cornell Tech Studio – including Applied Technopoetics, artistic practices for making technological works.

He is the cofounder of Cornell Tech spinout, 4149. Previously, he was the first chief technology officer of Twitter, the cofounder of Summize, and longtime board chair of Rhizome, among other things.

Greg received a B.A. in computer science with a concentration in cognitive studies from Cornell University in 1997.
