DOUG STAYMAN: The Johnson Cornell Tech MBA was really built from the ground up to be the right kind of MBA to develop leadership skills for the digital age. Every other major MBA program is not only in a business school but it's in a separate business school physical building. Cornell Tech's very different. It was built to bring people from computer science, from information science, from business, from law, from design together and they live together 24/7. RACHEL FLYNN: If you want to work on a project about natural language processing there's a handful of engineers who you know you can go to. IAN FOLAU: I was able to find two computer science masters students that were really tied into the idea that we can make a business happen and we just decided "hey, let's find the best problem to solve" DOUG: At Cornell Tech you find a computer scientist, an operations research and an MBA person trying to work across disciplines on bringing technology to solve a business problem. One of the powers of being in New York is having all these different kinds of companies and lots of people from each company who come at different points in the curriculum to work with students. MIWA TAKAKI: Every other day you're having guest lecturers come in and you're having practitioners come into the Studio and help you with projects. You have advisers. You have alumni coming in. IAN: There's so much mentorship here and all these mentors are here to help us understand if this is a good track or if you should start thinking about something new. DOUG: We're really looking for students who want to be leaders in driving change through technology.
