Prior to joining Cornell Tech, for seven and a half years Adam Conner-Simons has overseen communications and media relations for MIT’s largest research lab, the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL). Through his efforts, he helped MIT CSAIL significantly grow its visibility with respect to its web presence, press coverage, and social media footprint. He is an adept and creative communicator, helping his lab promote its work to a wide range of audiences, including industry members and government sponsors.

He has also previously served as a communications consultant for a range of corporate and nonprofit clients and has done freelance writing for the New York Times, the Boston Globe, and The Huffington Post. Before joining MIT he helped lead communications for the business school of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
