TECHNICAL PROGRAMS – 2015-2021

One-Year Technical Programs

During 2015-21, five graduate-level technical programs have been offered on campus. While each program has a different subject matter focus, all provide a strong technical foundation, which in conjunction with the Studio curriculum, equips Cornell Tech’s graduates to pursue a variety of engineering and analytical roles, many at the junction of technology and business. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cornell Tech’s technical program graduates who sought full-time employment or summer internships sustained a 100% employment rate within three months of graduation.

Prospective students should note that past employment rates are not indicative or predictive of future outcomes.

Compensation – Technical Programs

The compensation package at tech companies, where the majority of technical programs graduates accepted roles, depends on the stage of the company’s life cycle, the amount of equity granted (and its value) as well as years and relevance of professional experiences of a graduate. In 2021, the median salary for software development positions was $130,000; for data scientist/data analyst positions median salary was $125,000. In most cases, in addition to salary offers included equity, sign-on, year-end, or performance bonuses and relocation allowance (if applicable).
