The Cornell Tech faculty can be a part of the Joan & Irwin Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute at Cornell Tech, established jointly by Cornell University and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. The Jacobs Institute faculty members can be appointed on tenure lines from Cornell or the Technion.
